While most businesses have been hit hard by the recession, the call center industry is continuing to grow as a large amount of call center hiring is currently underway in the U.S. The latest company to take part in this increasingly popular trend is Alorica, a provider of customer management outsourcing solutions who recently announced it is immediately hiring employees for 200 call center positions in Mobile, AL. The call center hiring initiative is in response to the company’s need to support an expanded business opportunity with an existing client and positions will be available at the company’s new Saraland site. "Alorica is excited to bring more jobs to the Mobile community," says Andy Lee, chairman and CEO of Alorica, in a statement. "Our company's growth means more opportunities for our clients, the communities in which we reside, and for our employees." "Bringing more work to Mobile means helping people during difficult times and offering career development opportunities for enhanced professional growth experiences," Lee added. Currently, the call center provider has nearly 20,000 employees in 40 global locations with annual revenues of $600M. The company is the 10th largest outsource provider in the world, according to a press release. For these newly opened positions, qualified individuals will be compensated with $9.00 per hour for taking over the role of inbound customer service representatives, along with paid training. Alorica offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid-time off and tuition reimbursement. Right now, Alorcia is sponsoring a career fair which began yesterday, Monday, January 23 and will continue until Friday, January 27 from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm at Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile in Alabama. Back in July, TMCnet had the news that Alorica opened a new office in the Philippines, bringing the number of facilities the company operates to five located within the borders of that country.
